Klaus graduated from the Design & Crafts Council Pottery Skills Course in Thomastown in 1997, then worked for a variety  of potteries in Ireland  and started his own business, Baurnafea Ceramics, in 2005.Over the last number of years he has also been involved in the training of pottery students at the DCCI Pottery Skills Course. Klaus produces a wide range of thoughtfully designed and well crafted pottery, functional ware for use in the kitchen and garden as well as purely decorative pieces. Most pots are thrown on the wheel, then altered, turned and handled. After glazing and decorating Klaus` work is either fired in an electric or wood fired kiln, depending on the desired outcome.
