Klaus started making pots after moving to Ireland in 1993. In 1997 he graduated from the Pottery Skills Course in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.
Till the end of 2014 he worked continuously for a number of ceramic studios in Ireland, mainly throwing pots on the wheel. In 2005 Klaus also began to design his own range of ceramics and started his own business.
Klaus produces a wide range of pottery, functional ware for use in the kitchen and garden as well as purely decorative pieces. Most pots are thrown on the wheel, then altered, turned and handled. After glazing and decorating, the work is either fired in an electric or woodfired kiln.
Klaus sells his ceramics at markets, fairs and exhibitions.
Since January 2015 Klaus is also working as a part-time technician at the Pottery Skills Course in Thomastown.
